Josie Maran Argan Oil…

25 Jan

It only makes sense that I’m in love with this product as I’m apparently becoming an all over Argan oil fan.  It just so happens to be in my favorite Shampoo (Moroccanoil) and now in my favorite, incredibly versatile Josie Maran Argan Oil.   First of all, this was a gift otherwise I would not have been inclined to pay the $48 price tag for a 1.7 oz bottle.  However, after only using the product for a few days on my face, cuticles and ends of my hair it became clear that not only is this a superior product, but it would be lasting quite some time as well.  Just one drop of the product goes a very long way and leaves your skin with such a lovely glow.

What is Argan Oil?

Although Argan Oil is a fairly recent fad, it has quite a history and has been used for thousands of years.  Made from the nuts of the argan tree, which grows almost exclusively in Morocco (my new obsession), the oil is said to have restorative and age-defying effects. It is high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it is believed to help all kinds of skin conditions: dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles.

It’s hard to believe an oil can treat something like acne, right?  Well recently, I had a few places on my face where I was breaking out…I used a thin layer of the oil on my skin after I washed my face at night, the next morning my skin was noticeably  more clear…not to mention looking spectacularly fresh.  I highly recommend the product, the results seem to actually live up to the hype!
